The TexEnergy Partners have had an interest in home energy performance since 1966. Most of our efforts centered on energy cost from air
conditioning and heating systems and energy loss from ducts (air delivery) systems. In recent years there have been many technological breakthroughs and
changes that have heightened knowledge and awareness of building science, the whole house approach, and individuals' affect on energy efficiency. These
changes have generated a demand for companies to apply this knowledge in real world situations. Leading the way, TexEnergy was founded in 2002 to concentrate
on whole house building science, energy, environmental, comfort and indoor air quality issues.
TexEnergy is working to help address
personal, regional, state and national needs:
- Energy Independence - conservation of energy which relates to reduction of fossil fuel consumption.
- Cost of
Energy - We can recommend ways for individual homeowners to reduce their personal energy usage and thereby reduce their utility bills.
- Reduction of Carbon Emissions - Reduction in energy consumption can be used to calculate carbon emissions reduction at the power plant
and can be traded for credit by the State of Texas to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) against the goal of meeting air quality standards for
North Texas.
